Reusable rocketry can destabilize the nuclear triad
The rapid progress of Starship presents a time-limited opportunity for the USA to unilaterally threaten the ICBM leg of the nuclear triad. Their unique launch cost advantage enables them to capture the high frontier with an extensive lead in any plausible space-based arms race. This logic introduces many dangerous dynamics, including the possibility that, for the first time in human history, developments in space could trigger a conventional conflict on Earth.

On- and off- manifold learning: A clue on the succession problem
Identifying the generator of an attractor in a dynamical system can serve as an interesting model for insititutional information transfer. Dynamics learned on-manifold are not always representative of the full dynamics the system is subject to, with no way to identify this blind spot. This can serve as a partial clue to the succession problem.
